Finally Anthony tell Amber Shayla snuck in his house while he was fully drunk😱
“The Night Anthony Revealed the Truth to Amber”
Amber sat on the edge of the couch, her arms crossed tightly across her chest. Her eyes were burning with questions that had been left unanswered for far too long. She could see Anthony pacing the living room, his hands running through his hair, his expression restless.
“Anthony,” Amber finally said, her voice sharp but shaky. “You’ve been hiding something from me. I can feel it. Every time Shayla’s name comes up, you get nervous. What is it you’re not telling me?”
Anthony froze. His back was turned toward her, and for a long moment, the only sound in the room was the ticking of the wall clock. He swallowed hard, feeling his throat tighten. He knew this moment was coming—but he never imagined how hard it would be to actually say it.
With a heavy breath, he turned to her, his face pale. “Amber… there’s something you need to know. And you’re not going to like it.”
Amber’s heart skipped. “Tell me,” she whispered, gripping the arm of the couch.
Anthony dropped into the chair across from her, elbows on his knees, his head hung low. “That night… the night you kept calling me and I didn’t answer… I wasn’t out with the guys like I told you. I was home.”
Amber frowned. “Okay, so? Why lie about that?”
“Because,” Anthony said, his voice breaking, “I was drunk. Completely out of my mind. I don’t even remember how much I drank. I just remember waking up and—” he hesitated, his hands trembling as he rubbed his face— “and realizing Shayla had been there.”
Amber’s stomach dropped. She stood up instantly. “What do you mean Shayla had been there?”
Anthony looked up, his eyes filled with regret. “She snuck into my house while I was drunk. I didn’t invite her. I didn’t even know she was there until it was too late. I swear to you, Amber, I would never betray you like that on purpose. But she took advantage of me that night.”
Amber’s lips parted in shock. Her breath came fast, her head spinning. “Are you telling me… Shayla was in your house, with you, while you were out of your senses?”
Anthony nodded miserably. “Yes. And I’ve been carrying that guilt with me ever since. I didn’t know how to tell you. I was afraid of losing you. But you deserve the truth.”
Amber backed away, her chest heaving, tears threatening her eyes. She replayed every encounter with Shayla in her head—the smug looks, the cryptic words, the way Shayla always seemed to hold some kind of power over Anthony. Suddenly, it all made sense.
“That’s why she acts like she has something over you,” Amber muttered bitterly. “That’s why she smirks whenever I’m around. She wanted me to find out this way, didn’t she? She planned it.”
Anthony stood, rushing toward her. “Amber, please. Don’t let Shayla win. She wanted to destroy us, and I was too weak that night to stop her. But I promise you—I’ve been faithful in every other way. I love you.”
Amber turned away, her heart torn in two. She wanted to scream, to cry, to throw something, but instead she whispered, “You should’ve told me sooner, Anthony. You let her play games with both of us.”
Anthony’s voice cracked. “I know. And I’m ready to fight for us, Amber. If you’ll still let me.”
Amber closed her eyes, unsure if her love for him was strong enough to overcome the betrayal—or if Shayla had already won the war she started the night she stepped into his house uninvited.
